Job Responsibilities

Creare is seeking a Controls and Vibration Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team in Hanover, New Hampshire. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced technologies and products for aerospace, defense, energy, manufacturing, and industrial applications.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving challenging dynamic system problems involving controls, vibration, structural dynamics, instrumentation, and hardware development. Projects often move from concept through analysis, prototype fabrication, testing, and field deployment, giving engineers the opportunity to make meaningful technical contributions across the full product development cycle.

Our engineers work in collaborative teams on cutting-edge systems that may include spacecraft hardware, cryogenic systems, advanced manufacturing equipment, precision instrumentation, electromechanical systems, and specialized industrial technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze control systems for mechanical and electromechanical devices
  • Perform vibration, modal, and dynamic system analysis
  • Design and execute laboratory and field-testing programs
  • Develop mathematical models and simulations of dynamic systems
  • Analyze test data and correlate analytical models with experimental results
  • Design and integrate sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers
  • Support prototype development, troubleshooting, and system validation
  • Contribute to technical reports, customer presentations, and proposal efforts
Professional Requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with controls engineering, vibration analysis, structural dynamics, or dynamic systems modeling
  • Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, ANSYS, Nastran, Python, or similar engineering software
  • Experience with experimental testing, instrumentation, or data acquisition systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Aerospace, defense, robotics, industrial systems, or precision instrumentation experience
  • Modal testing or frequency response analysis
  • Feedback control system design and implementation
  • Mechatronics or embedded controls experience
  • Hardware prototyping and hands-on laboratory work
  • Experience supporting government-funded R&D programs
