Apply your optical design skills to a broad and challenging array of engineering problems in one or more of the following areas: laser scanning, image processing and analysis, 3D imaging, optoacoustics, combustion diagnostics, fiber-optics and fiber-coupled imaging. Primary responsibilities will be design, analysis, and hardware development of novel optical systems for commercial and government research products. Candidate should be trained in electrical, mechanical, or optical engineering with a MS and 2 or more years’ experience or preferably Ph.D. with multiple years industry experience. Preferred skills include: demonstrated optical design proficiency and innovation in an R&D environment; experience with common CAD tools Solidworks; proficiency in optical design software such as Zemax; a desire to work on multiple, deadline-driven projects concurrently; effective task management and communication skills. Base annual salary range of $95,000 - $160,000 based on level of education completed, and years of relevant experience.
