It shall be the policy and practice of the Corporate Employers to recruit Corporate Team Members according or the following priorities:

First: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque.
Second: Qualified candidates who are not enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque, but who are spouses, significant others, or children of enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque. 
Third: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of another (Non-Pojoaque) Indian Tribe.

JOB PURPOSE:   Supervises daily Pizza 9 staff and operations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises daily Pizza 9 operations
  • Assigns work to meet completion dates which may be in accordance with schedules fixed by higher supervision and subject to higher approval
  • Supervises, delegates, provides leadership to and review the work of assigned staff
  • Enforces all department procedures and policies; Participates in interviews to hire new CSR, Prep cooks, Delivery Drivers, Dough Makers; Contributes to performance appraisals and trains team members
  • Ensures a safe environment for staff and customers; Ensures that all food handlers are properly trained in safety procedures and that food is inspected for proper temperatures

  • Customer service duties: Fills in for other staff when necessary.

  • Handles and resolves customer complaints
  • Ensures that customer service standards in the areas of food quality, presentation, and service are met or exceeded in all food operations; Ensures that policies are enforced for utilizing food surplus and leftovers in order to control food waste; Ensures that policies are enforced for ordering, receiving, storing, and inventory of all food products

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Good knowledge of supervisory, management, and decision-making techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation and presentation, and food handling safety practices
  • Extensive knowledge of customer relations practices and ability to enforce customer service standards throughout the food service operations
  • Extensive knowledge of food service and deli policies, procedures, and ordering, storing, inventory of food products, and money-handling
  • Ability to read budgets, calculates profit and loss
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBO OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year experience in the food & beverage industry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Restaurant/bar setting in a casino; Shift work; Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Standing/Walking, 100% up to 4 hours at a time 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. 
  • Exposure to heat and smoke from stoves
  • Exposure to some cleaning chemicals
  • Required to use and operate kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Must follow safety precautions and requirements when operating or using equipment, utensils, and chemicals
