JOB PURPOSE: Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and team members as well as safeguarding assets of the Casinos and Hilton Hotel by acting as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls in designated areas within Pueblo of Pojoaque properties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
  • Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
  • Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries
  • Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
  • Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations
  • Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
  • Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements
  • Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
  • Acts as an Ambassador for the organization
  • Provides excellent Guest Services by resolving issues, walking guests/team members to their desired destinations, providing needed information in a kind and courteous manner and providing assistance with finding cars and other lost items and/or other needed guest services
  • Operates Security communication equipment and maintains daily shift and radio logs
  • Prepares incident/accident reports as required
  • Receives, secures and processes lost and found property
  • Responds to calls for assistance, hazardous material incidents, and natural disasters
  • Follows and enforces set procedures for bomb threats, fires, evacuations and armed robberies
  • Liaison between Security and other Law Enforcement Agencies
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and prepare incident reports.
  • Ability to analyze situations and take quick, effective, and reasonable courses of action with regard to surrounding hazards and circumstances
  • Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Fast typing with experience in data entry
  • Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 19 and over years old
  • Demonstrated stable work history
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no DWI’s in the last five years, and no more than two major offenses
  • Prior experience in casino industry, security, law enforcement, and/or military preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Primarily Dispatch setting;  On 24-hour emergency call;  Shift work; Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Walking, 10%;  Sitting, 80%
  • May be subject to cigarette smoke, and noise
  •  May be exposed to pain, suffering, and mental anguish under emergency conditions
