It shall be the policy and practice of the Corporate Employers to recruit Corporate Team Members according or the following priorities:

First: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque.
Second: Qualified candidates who are not enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque, but who are spouses, significant others, or children of enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque. 
Third: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of another (Non-Pojoaque) Indian Tribe.

JOB PURPOSETo deliver and serve food and/or beverage items in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Set banquet tables to meet the function specifications.
  • Serves food, beverage, and condiments/accompaniments to banquet and function clientele in a friendly and courteous manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Delivers dirty china, silver, and glassware to kitchen stewards area.
  • Quietly removes china, glassware, and silverware from tables at the end of the meal period.
  • Set/display food and beverages on buffet tables for delivery to function guests requiring buffet service. Requires pushing large wheeled tables to and from the function room area. Serves guests and clears tables. Delivers dirty china, silver, and glassware to kitchen stewards area.
  • Attend mandatory meetings.
  • Perform all assigned side work, such as replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
  • Abide by all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items. Some wine knowledge.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write the English language in order to communicate with guests.
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous food service experience is required.
  • Must follow safety precautions and requirements
  • PPABC Liquor Certification or successful completion of the PPABC Liquor Certification course

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Standing/Walking: 100%.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, push, pull, and carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
  • Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop, and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift.
  • Shift work required.Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
