JOB PURPOSEResponsible for the coordination and reservations of spa groups and events and for training for the spa desk, reservations, and spa attendants. Responsible for the initiation of programs to increase revenue, customer service levels, and team member morale.

Assist qualified Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal members in employment opportunities with the Pueblo of Pojoaque Businesses by hiring, coaching, and supporting their career growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists the Spa Manager in overseeing the day-to-day management of the spa and ensuring guest comfort. Periodically inspects all guest areas, such as lounge areas, front desk, treatment, and pre-treatment areas, to ensure they are kept neat and orderly.
  • Assists in the implementation of training of policies and procedures directed by the Spa Manager.
  • Acts as a manager in the absence of the Spa Manager.
  • Assists with the scheduling of group business, maximizing opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Conducts monthly inventory of retail and operational products.
  • Attends required meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

  • Experience in the hospitality or customer service industry is required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Understanding of good health habits in terms of exercise and nutrition.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Basic mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels and health clubs.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Specific education in massage, skincare, or salon services are preferred.
  • Minimum two year’s management experience in the spa or hotel industry.
  • The applicant must possess knowledge of spa therapies to include Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone therapy, exfoliation, manicure, pedicure, and skin care.
  • Experienced with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with spa management software is preferred but not required
  • First aid and CPR certified is desired.
  • Must possess any state-required licenses or certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Travel required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Office/Hotel setting; Shift work; Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime   
  • Standing-5% /Walking-15% /Sitting-80%; Office setting.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs.

On 24-hour emergency call.
