It shall be the policy and practice of the Corporate Employers to recruit Corporate Team Members according or the following priorities:

First: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque.
Second: Qualified candidates who are not enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque, but who are spouses, significant others, or children of enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque. 
Third: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of another (Non-Pojoaque) Indian Tribe.

  • Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
  • Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Sets up work stations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
  • Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes workstations
  • Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers' needs
  • Replenishes food items and ensure the product is stocked to appropriate levels
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Good customer relation skills.  Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities

·         Maintains a safe and clean work environment

·         Must be at least 18 years old

·         Ability to operate independently with minimal direct supervision

·         Good knowledge of food preparation, reading and interpreting recipes, and kitchen safety techniques.

·         Must demonstrate good safety techniques, rotation of food, and portion control.

·         Ability to work in a team environment.

·         Understanding and use knife skills.

·         Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.

·         Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once.

·         Ability to use various kitchen equipment and identify and differentiate food items.

·         Ability to visually inspect, taste, and smell product to ensure freshness and quality.

·         Ability to communicate effectively with associate management, clients, and vendors if necessary




High School Diploma or GED

·         Previous food service experience preferred

Must be able to obtain food handlers certification

·         Kitchen/dining room setting.  Shift work required.  Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

·         Required to use and operate equipment and utensils such as broilers, grills, roasters, steam kettles, knives, slicers, industrial, commercial mixer, and industrial dishwashing machine

·         Must follow and use safety precautions and requirements when operating or using equipment, utensils, and chemicals

·         Standing/Walking, 100%

·         Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs 

·         Ability to withstand extreme temperatures within the kitchen working environment ranging from 0 to 100 degrees

·         May need to work outdoors occasionally for special events

·         Exposure to some cleaning chemicals

·         Able to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.
