Preference for Hiring in Employment

It shall be the policy and practice of the Corporate Employers to recruit Corporate Team Members according or the following priorities:

First: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque.
Second: Qualified candidates who are not enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque, but who are spouses, significant others, or children of enrolled members of the Pueblo of Pojoaque. 
Third: Qualified candidates who are enrolled members of another (Non-Pojoaque) Indian Tribe.

JOB PURPOSE:   To clear and clean tables to ensure a quality customer service dining experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Busses tables by clearing dirty dishes from table
  • Taking turns washing dishes
  • Assisting with emptying all of the trash in the front of the house
  • May serve ice water, refills coffee and iced tea; may brew coffee and fill fruit juice dispensers
  • Cleans and polishes dining room equipment such as buffet bar
  • Keeps work area clean by picking up trash and wiping tables
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

  • Must be at least 19 years of age or older
  • Basic English skills
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to clear and clean tables
  • Must be people oriented and courteous

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • No experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Restaurant dining room setting.Shift work required.Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Standing/Walking: 100%
  • Lifting and carrying required up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to move tables and chairs as needed and push cart when bussing
  • Must follow safety precautions and requirements
