Description
**Local position with no lodging assistance or per diem provided. 5-7 day work week, hours as needed. No guaranteed weekly hours, estimated hours are 50 – 70 per week.

OVERVIEW


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. DUTIES

Must work in a team environment with a positive attitude.

Ensures a safe work environment.

General physical labor.

Assembles and repairs oilfield machinery and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.

Assists in civil and mechanical construction, excavation/trenching, backfill/compacting, raking, shoveling, cleaning, and organizing materials.

Bolts or nails together wood or steel framework.

Ability to use a band saw, mag drill, grinder, hand held portable drill, read a tape measure, and other applicable hand tools/power tools.

Assist in loading and unloading of material and equipment for mobilization. Knowledge of load securement practices.

Bolts together pumping unit, flanges, engine parts, etc.

Connects tanks and flow lines, using wrenches.

Unscrews or tightens pipe, casing, tubing and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and tongs.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Have the ability to read and interpret safety manuals and warning signs, drawings, specifications, rigging diagrams and lifting capacity charts for equipment and load carrying parts. Must display sufficient oral communication skills to be able to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions and task assignments.

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education
High school diploma or GED
Experience
Five (5) year related experience is preferred.

Some positions may require minimal heavy equipment (Skid Steer, 966 loader, etc.) experience.

Experience around heavy equipment/cranes in an oilfield environment is preferred.

Some positions may require hazardous materials endorsement.

Rigging experience preferred.

CDL highly desirable.

Special Requirements/Certifications
Valid driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. MOBILITY: Must be able to access all areas of a construction site and climb scaffolding and ladders. Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs for 20 feet

HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.

VISUAL ACUITY: Must be able to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner.

LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift 70 lbs from floor to waist, 50 lbs from waist to shoulder height. Must be able to carry 70 lbs for 20 feet.
