Description

The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for providing technical support for the AEP 2013 SharePoint environment including assessment and implementation of new capabilities, and providing Information Technology with a long-term perspective on the relationship of SharePoint technology to the operational requirement facing our customer’s organization. The SharePoint Administrator also supports Brigade and Battalion portal development, maintenance, information dissemination initiatives, OpSec enforcement and connected collaborative resources. Our ideal candidate must have a strong communication and presentation skillset that will assist in developing and maintaining static and dynamic content in accordance with AEP governance guidelines and our contracted performance work statement. 
Major Responsibilities:
Maintain, revise, and edit 401st AFSB (Army Field Support Brigade) Microsoft SharePoint® (2013) portal items that are beyond functional manager capabilities.
Train and assist site owners/users.
Install, maintain, update, and upgrade SharePoint content and site collections as required.
Coordinate with our technical customer’s SharePoint team to take full advantage of Army Knowledge Management processes and procedures.
Administration of user/administrator permissions as they apply to:
o Top-level
o Subsites
o List Items
Perform requirements gathering for new or modified site collections.
Provide dynamic workflow processes to supply the customer with an edge for business intelligence.
Perform regular site housekeeping to include:
o Structured metadata content approaches
o Creating and modifying views
o File size and site quotas
Conduct and facilitate planning and solutions meetings with military and civilian personnel to provide site refinements.
Integration of Microsoft Office® applications and VBA components with dynamic site content.

Education

o Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or Systems Administration

Experience
Must be proficient in the use of SharePoint Designer 2013 with three years of experience preferred including:
o Designing and customizing organizational sites and content.
o Building and creating customized workflows, effective use of the data view web part, data form web part,  and navigation customization
Experience with SharePoint templates (site templates, list templates, master page customization) is required.
Experience (two years plus) with SharePoint administration in NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments.
Proficiency using SharePoint Designer in an enterprise environment.
Proficiency using NINTEX Workflows in an enterprise environment.
Experience with SharePoint forms and reporting integration with:
o Microsoft InfoPath®
o Microsoft Excel®
Experience with using CSS
Experience with implementing Java Script (Desired)
Experience with incorporation of VBA Objects integration (Desired)
Familiarity with identifying PII (Personally Identifiable Information)

o 5 years of Microsoft SharePoint administration and/or development preferably in a military environment.
Professional/Trade Certifications
o Relevant DoD 8570.1 certification

Deployment requirements
o Must possess an active and valid Governmental security clearance.
o This is a deployed position. Employee candidates must be able to commit to a term of service no less than twelve months in total.
o Employee candidates, with the exception of completely qualified incumbent employees, will be required to attend pre and post-deployment preparatory training though CRC (CONUS Replacement Center, Ft. Bliss, Texas).
o Employee candidates must possess a current United States Passport valid for at least two years past date of hire.
o Possess a United States passport with at least eight unused pages.
o Employees must be in good physical condition and able to adapt to various levels of deployment life.
o Employee candidates must bear the cost of the pre-deployment physical as well as any other expenses related to vaccinations, prescription supplies, additional corrective lenses, other non-prescription medications, any other medical needs necessary for at least six months of sustained deployment.   
o Employee candidates should clearly understand that some of the worksites, within this contracted effort, are located in countries and regions where armed conflict or unstable environments could be an ongoing concern. Employees will be expected to exercise significant care in protecting themselves during the term of deployment.
o Work visa rules for each country covered within this contracted effort vary by country. Employee candidates should be aware that in some countries, additional physicals and other  requirements must be met in order to qualify for a work visa for that particular country. Once the employee has been deployed, VDT will be responsible for the cost of any subsequent  physicals or other country-specific costs as they relate to country-specific work visas.
o Employees will be expected to respect and abide by the cultural norms and regulations of each host country. Employees will also be expected to strictly comply with all behavioral, cultural,  safety, and security constraints of military bases where they will be working. Violation of country-specific or base-specific customs, rules, and regulations could result in immediate  termination and subsequent demobilization, legal charges, and costs associated with any violations.
 
Physical Requirements
Employee candidates must be in good physical and psychological condition. Employee candidates will be required to pass a pre-deployment physical and have the appropriate United States vaccinations relevant to the country of their deployment.
