Description
SpecPro Professional Services (SPS) is seeking experienced Area Facility Operations Specialists (AFOS) to fill multiple positions throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. These positions are contingent on an official contract award from the government. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing a number of US Army Reserve (USAR) facilities within their assigned area of operation. The primary function is to ensure that facilities are safe and compliant with all local and Federal Government regulations for use by the USAR and its tenant units. The successful candidate will also enter work requests for facility maintenance/repair and oversee third-party maintenance/repair operations.
Responsibilities:
• Perform assessments to identify, document and recommend additional facility maintenance requirements, facility security, future projects, energy compliance and overall facility condition
• Maintain and operate the Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems
• Monitor and document the physical and functional condition of building systems
• Identify, document and report all physical building deficiencies, followed by a recommendation for repair; include a completed Customer Support System S/R/M package with sketches, digital pictures, and a draft estimate for the repairs
• Accomplish periodic inspections and documentation of such on all mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are accomplished
• Assist the Government with design reviews on major/minor construction, renovation and repair projects
• Document, advise and inform Facility Coordinators and Center Commanders on matters pertaining to their site (e.g., improper use of the property, unit housekeeping problems, pending repairs and upcoming construction projects)
• Assist the Government with Real Estate, Real Property, and Master Planning Support
• Document and report any non- compliance with RCRA (to include hazardous material, hazardous waste, solid waste, UST/AST), Clean Water Act or Clean Air Act enforcement vulnerabilities or deficiencies
• Assist in the coordination of corrective actions in the event of environmental spills, or environmental violations, as prescribed by and under the guidance and direction of the 63rd RSC DPW Office
• Assist the Government in tracking project status, performing inspections, providing documentation, and verifying completion of projects or work orders
Education
• High school degree or equivalent
Experience
• At least two years of Federal Government facilities maintenance at the manager level
• At least three years’ experience with facility work order input, processing, and oversight
• Experience maintaining facilities for the 63d Regional Support Command (RSC) is preferred and may substitute for all other experience requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and be able to access any and all areas of multi-purpose facilities and campuses (e.g., roof access, electrical panels, storage/maintenance closets, shop facilities and storage facilities, catwalks, scaffolding, fire ladders, etc.)
