SES Construction and Fuels Services LLC, an Oak Ridge, TN company is expanding its fuels management staff and requires the addition of a Quality Assurance Manager in the San Antonio/South Texas area. 

The candidate will be directly managing site activities at various military facilities, initially in South West USA.  Should have at least 10 years of DoD Fuels System construction experience. 

  • Must have working knowledge of cathodic protection, tank/pipeline coating, controls/instrumentation, concrete, welding, containment systems, AST/USTs, oil/water separators, ATG. 
  • Manage intercompany fuels personnel and specialty subcontractors.
  • Perform project site inspections and document as required by work plans. 
  • Ability to act as a liaison with the DoD customer, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and internal departments on quality related matters as required. 
  • Coordinate mobilization and demob of SES fuels project team and document progress at construction milestones. 
  • The candidate must be experienced in working on federal government construction contracts and should be eligible to receive a security clearance to work on federal property.
  • The candidate must be knowledgeable of OSHA and USACE safety and health requirements and the USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) system, including Contractor Quality Control (CQC) and the use of the USACE RMS/QCS software program.
  •  Interface with QC and SSHO.
  • The candidate should possess basic computer skills and have good verbal and written communication skills. 

The primary location will be in the San Antonio/South Texas area, but the successful candidate must be willing to travel to other DoD job sites throughout CONUS. 



Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.

Special Requirements/Certifications
  • The candidate must be capable of passing a DoD security background check and receiving a contractor base pass as required to work on federal property.
  • Must have an active state issued driver’s license in good standing.
  • 40 hour Hazwoper
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • 30 hour OSHA Construction Safety Training
  • Must be able to read spreadsheets and blue prints.
  • API 653 Certification
  • API 570 Certification and/or familiarity.
  • Familiarity with ASME, NFPA, UFC, MFGS regulations as they relate to military fueling facilities.
