Description

Drives tank truck to deliver fuel to above and below ground tanks, refrigeration units, directly into on road and off road vehicles and railroad equipment by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of truck.
  • Drives truck into position to fill at loading rack.
  • Read gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
  • Delivers fuel to customers on a daily schedule.
  • Purges fuel from truck into the proper UST during and after shift is completed.
  • Uphold Department of Transportation safety standards.
  • Maintain communication with immediate manager.
  • Maintain environmental safety requirements.
  • Maintain good customer relations.
Education
High School Diploma
Experience

Requires:

2 years of C.D.L

Class B with tank and hazmat endorsement

Fuel tanker experience preferred 

Must be flexible on shift assignments.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, climb ladders, pull up to 40 pounds, overhead lifting up to 40 pounds, maintain balance at heights of up to 20 feet, and withstand road shocks and moderate vibrations associated with driving a commercial vehicle. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
