Portfolio Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Generally recognized as a leader in the industry in their area of expertise; sought out by others in the area of expertise for advice and guidance
Provide expert support, analysis, research, and advice into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter
Serve as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives. 
Perform highly specialized and technical tasks associated with the most current and cutting-edge technologies
May serve as a technical consultant to a project or a number projects dealing with area of technical expertise
Coordinate with contract management and Government personnel to ensure the problems have been properly defined and the solutions satisfy customer needs 
Position Description
Meets with the Product Owners and DEEA Factory Lead to perform Portfolio Management, consisting of grooming the roadmaps and backlogs of all products based on Government prioritization, to ensure all product releases are on target, risks and dependencies are identified, and roadmaps up to date, which feed into the IMS. Additional responsibilities include:
Understand customer mission and business needs/objectives/priorities
Document requirements, prioritization, validation
Schedule (roadmaps, milestones)
Coordinate with release management to manage delivery schedule
Change Management
Required Qualifications:
Education and Years of Relevant Experience:
High School Diploma/ GED + 8 years relevant experience in addition to education level OR
Associates Degree (related to area) + 6 years relevant experience in addition to education level OR
Bachelors Degree (related to area) + 4 years relevant experience OR
Masters Degree (related to area) + 2 years relevant experience OR
PhD (related to areas) + 0 years relevant experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
DoD 8570 minimum Level 1 IAT (A+CE, CCNA Security, Network + CE, SSCP) or higher

Skills and Tasks:
Complex - develops new concepts and processes. Analyzes root causes and resolves issues. Supports more junior level technicians and specialists in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.
Individual Leadership/ Management:
Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and may also lead a task, project or team
Requires guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers only when dealing with new, uncertain situations. Provides guidance to lower level technicians and specialists.
